Rodman’s Rainbow Obama Burger

I’m sure most of you have either seen or heard about this but for those of you who have yet to…here it is.

After 42 long years of separation and mystery Dennis Rodman, yes THE Dennis Rodman, has finally had the opportunity to meet his old man. After an exhibition game in the Philippines Dennis Rodman agreed to come face to face with Philander Rodman Jr, better known as his Vietnam War Veteran father. Apparently his old man tried to introduce himself earlier in 2006 but was unable.

Who is Philander Rodman Jr.?

Well he’s admitted to fathering 29 children by 16 women and he is the proud owner of Rodman’s Rainbow Obama Burger in Angeles City which is located in the Philippines. He’s lived in the Philippines for about 50 years now and it looks like he’s pretty much settled in as far as that is concerned. What kind of food does he serve? Apparently he serves burgers with different colored buns to reflect his flamboyant son and HIS love of colors.

Now my REAL question is…

Where do I get me one of them shirts?!

My obsession with LeBron James

I probably own more Lebron related sports wear than any other person. Coming from a life long Lakers fan that has to be weird right?

2 Cavaliers Playoff T-shirts
(1 of which I’ve cut up and made into a dress)

2 All Star Jerseys

2 All Star Tshirts

I asked my manager to pick up a Lebron jersey for me while he was in Miami but he said they were all sold out. Sadness.

I just bought:

And

How could I resist? And they were both so cheap! AHH!

You should see some of the looks people give me. First, they check me out. And then after they’ve raped me with their eyes they begin to shake their heads in disapproval over my jersey. Jerks.

I will miss you LA. You and all your weirdos.

But like I say every blog entry, it would be a waste of an entry if someone couldn’t take away at least something from reading this so here it goes:

The Definition of “To Pull a LeBron” by Ayumi

“To pull a Lebron” can be defined in one of three ways.

1. The act of a Star Player or Talent asking to be traded to a more capable team or group that already possess the necessary skills and team players needed in order to achieve the highest amount of success within that field.

2. The act of a Star Player or Talent actively looking on one’s own, despite the wishes of management,  for a team that can offer him the best possibility of success because the current managers and owners have failed in the past and still continue to fail to build a dream team around their star player. It is very similar to the first definition but it differs in that the management has no say in the actions of the star player, this is usually because at this point in time the talent has become what is known as a free agent.

3. It can also be defined as the incessant nagging and hopscotching around the benefit of the team in order to focus more on one’s self and one’s own life goals. This is partly due to young age and the want for instant gratification.

Example: Dwight Howard needs to stop pulling a LeBron and just win one by himself.

I STILL LOVE YOU LEBRON! ❤ Hahaha. Ah~ All meant in good fun you guys.

Lake Show drowns out the Loserwolves!

That’s right! The Lakers did it again!

I guess all the Wolves got lost without Love. There were so many turnovers I started to get embarrassed for the Loserwolves…hah, not really. It WAS pretty awesome.

Whoever thought that the wolves would sweep LA was highly mistaken.

Bynum and Gasol were on fire tonight!

And Kobe was back with his Phantom of the Opera hybrid mask on.

Here’s a better picture since my picture sucks:

Luke Ridnour looked like he had ADHD and he needs to calm the fuck down.

Ricky Rubio was just disappointing today.

Michael Beasley didn’t bring it like he did yesterday.

Williams and Randolph stepped up? Weird.

And for a team that is usually great with free throws missed a hell of a lot of them today. It was probably because of my yelling out loud obscenities and discouragements toward their way…YUP, that’s what made them miss. Yes I am awesome. Yes I can make people miss free throws by using my bad karma energy. Hahahaha.

Want to know my feelings at about 4 minutes left till the end of the game?
This picture says it all.

They played Luke and UGH HE SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING BASKETBALL.

BOOOOOO does not equal LUUUUUKKKKEEEEE

Just because he asks to get played, doesn’t mean that ANYONE should listen to him or let him ANYWHERE near the ball.

All in all my cousin and I had a blast.

I spent a pretty penny today but it was ALL worth it! And thanks to Mark for the tickets!
LEAP YEAR GAMES ARE THE BEST!

Ate at ESPN Zone, bought my cousin one of these from the Laker store:

I wanted another Disney All Star shirt but they didn’t have them this year…gosh darn it!

I had a great time! Yay Lakers! 0.600 bitches!

Another awesome night for me! Yay!

No Howard. No Rondo. No Williams. Just Wallace.

Rasheed Wallace? Really? When and how did that happen?

Do the Lakers even need a Forward? Is it to cover Pau leaving? But when asked that question they just said it was to “strengthen the bench”. Man I haven’t seen Wallace play since that last game of the finals in 2010. I wish we could just all take a play from his handbook and retire for 2 years and then jump back in like it never happened.

Is he even in shape to play? (I mean he is getting a little old for the NBA at 37). I’d still take Allen Iverson instead. OR CAN I HAVE BOTH? Hahaha.

And I guess the Lakers haven’t given up on Dwight Howard just yet. They offered to trade Bynum for Howard. Uhh…like the Magic would want JUST Bynum. It’d have to be Pau + Bynum + some other incentives like the TPE and picks. Well after this weekend it’ll be a rush to sign before the deadline. I still think Rondo is our best bet. Maybe Rondo + Wallace will make a good pair for the Lakers. I don’t think we need Jermaine O’ Neal though.

GO WEST! I knew we could do it this year! And I guess we’ll just all have to welcome Wallace to LA.

Splurging!

Yup, it’s that time of the month AGAIN…PAYCHECK TIME!

And I paid off bills and what not but who can’t help but splurge on a little somethin’ somethin’ for themselves. So guess what I got?!

2 Crossword Lottery Games
(I haven’t bought one in SO LONG!)

I used to buy them all the time but I stopped hanging out with my gambling buddy so I guess I just stopped buying them. It’s just not the same when you’re buying them by yourself, you know?

Some ink for my lovely printer. I’m pretty sure both the mailman and my professors are getting tired of light grey ink on EVERYTHING. I’m just worried that the time for turning in final essays will come around and my printer will be completely out of ink. I made the mistake of printing my LSAT class material from my home computer. I went through 2 ink cartridges learning how to solve analytical games and such. It was sure as hell worth it though. I’m ready for my LSAT YEAH!

Some more purple shampoo for my pretty blonde hair! I was using Loreal but I get more for my money on this one so I’ll try it out. I HAVE WAY TOO MUCH HAIR! AHHH! I love being blonde though. Blonde do have more fun, what do you know?

And I wouldn’t be complete without my fake eyelashes!

What do all these things add up to?

A blonde Asian with fake lashes, gambling problems and awesome readable essays for easy scoring. OH YEAH~ *ahem*

Anywho…

Guess what picture I found? One of me from 2 years ago, sporting my Laker gear and nails. Hahaha, boy was I hardcore. This is pretty much what you get.

Speaking of which, GO WEST! (*Although my favorite players on the East*) It’s okay.

Pre All Star: East & West Matchups

Two big games to look forward to today!

Lakers vs Thunder

&

Knicks vs Heat

West vs West & East vs East. You’re not going to want to miss this!

Starting off with the Lakers vs Thunder, the clash of talent between old and new will be a great show. And since it’s right before the All Stars it’s a great chance to see how the teams play against each other. Tonight’s game will show if they are pumped up and ready to go at it with the East! 2 All Stars against 2 All Stars. They can also use today to size each other up, understand how each player moves and operates, how to best support each other. For those of you who didn’t know this is the first game of the season in which these two will be going head to head. Strange isn’t it? Since some teams have already gone up against each other anywhere from 3-4 times. This season’s a bit off but it makes it that much more intense and nerve wracking to watch and follow. Both the Lakers and the Thunder have won their last game up to this one so you know that they’re in it to win it! Being the #1 & #5 team on the Western Conference this also gives us an inside look as to what the Playoffs MIGHT look like. There’s still a lot of time for a shift in rank but when you think of the possibility of these two teams competing again when the time comes, it’s more likely than not so both teams could learn a lot from today.

So what needs to happen today for the Lakers to win? Kobe is going to need to put aside all of the trade drama bullshit and get back to playing a GOOD game. For the leading scorer in the NBA, Kobe tanked last night with 15 points. I was actually afraid that we might lose to Dallas. How unsettling is that? Me constantly checking the Ipad at work talking to myself about the game while I make drinks for customers. Most of them must have thought I was crazy. Gasol, on the other hand, is playing better than ever. Do you know why? Because he plays TO FUCKIN PLAY. I’ll forgive the 5 Turnovers he had last night because Kobe had 7. 7!?! Do you believe that? Thank God Bynum and Fisher stepped up yesterday.

The Lakers also need to be on top of Durant and Westbrook. Well, not literally but enough so they aren’t able to shoot. We can’t have them scoring like they have been if the Lakers want to win. Hayward and Collison may still be out from todays game so that’ll work to our advantage. And they need to watch out for Perkins when he’s on the floor. He’s been having a high number of rebounds every night and the one thing the Lakers do not need is Perkins being there to rebound every ball be it offensive or defensive. And we need to not play Ron Artest and just trade him somewhere. I’m sorry. And the only thing with playing Barnes or Morris is that they play well when it comes down to it but they get WAY too many Personal Fouls for comfort with the short amount of time they’re on the court. Just saying.

Maybe I’ll write about the Heats vs Knicks game later…I feel like that’s the one game everyone is already focusing on anyways. OMG A JEREMY LIN ROOKIE CARD THAT SOMEONE BOUGHT FOR $1000 SOLD FOR $21,800. FUCK people are crazy.

All Star Picks that WEREN’T selected. What happened?

So the NBA 2012 All Star Reserve Picks have been announced. Who else is surprised by not who they picked but who they DIDN’T pick?

For those of you who missed the Reserve Picks, here they are:

WEST

1. LaMarcus Aldridge (Forward)

2. Marc Gasol (Center)

3. Kevin Love (Forward – Center)

4. Steve Nash (Guard)

5. Dirk Nowitzki (Forward)

6. Tony Parker (Guard)

7. Russell Westbrook (Guard)

EAST

1. Chris Bosh (Forward)

2. Luol Deng (Forward)

3. Roy Hibbert (Center)

4. Andre Iguodala (Forward – Guard)

5. Joe Johnson (Guard)

6. Paul Pierce (Forward)

7. Deron Williams (Guard)

Just like someone said on Twitter:

“Josh smith. Call 911.You got robbed. No mask no gloves- its fingerprints- all over the place call first 48-no call Atlanta CSI- Call the FBI”

I mean what a big surprise right? Me + Ernie, Kenny, Charles and Shaq were all shocked by this. We all had him on our lists! But it seems like the same debate each time, there’s a player that should have been picked but Charles said it best when he said, “We only award winners”. People get overshadowed all the time. The same thing that happened to Josh Smith also happened to people like Jrue Holiday, Darren Collison and Danny Granger. I wouldn’t say they were outshined but when it comes down to it they pick the “winning” players. It would be awesome if they could pick the scorer and the supporter but sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way. It’s like saying Derrick Rose would be nothing without Luol Deng but the same goes for these other supporting players as well. They’re who keep the team scoring and together. With the number of Defensive Rebounds Josh Smith puts out as well as being relatively high scoring, what more could you ask for? Josh is #6 in Blocks, Blocks per game and Defensive Rebounds in 48 minutes. And he’s ranked #2 in Blocks per 48 minutes only beaten out by Thunder’s Serge Ibaka (but he’s in Spain playing Real Madrid right now). He WORKED for this! Lost weight, got into shape and now he’s the best player on the Hawks. He’s what has been keeping this team afloat this season. With Al Horford gone he’s really stepped up to carry his team to where they are now. Let’s compare the stats between the Reserve Forwards that have been picked for the East. (And maybe why don’t we look at Chris Bosh’s stats too while we’re at it).

Chris Bosh

Luol Deng

Andre Iguodala

Paul Pierce

Josh Smith

You can see by just looking at the stats that Josh Smith should have been chosen. It should have been Deng, Iguodala AND Smith’s first All Star game. Yeah he was off to a rocky start but he shaped up this year! There was no reason why he shouldn’t have been chosen. A lot of other amazing players weren’t picked as well. I’ll write more entries! You guys haven’t been forgotten! It’s okay Josh Smith…we’ll get them! And their little dog too!
