The Raptor Strikes Again!

My man Chris Bosh is single-handedly smoking the Nuggets right now!
(Well, we’re only 1 point ahead at this point, but still).

32 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist with 27 minutes played!

But the Nuggets are all contributing point wise so the Heat will have to stay on their toes to win this one but I know we can do it!

We just let New York win because we felt bad…too soon? … Maybe.

I’m glad Iguodala gets to shine on the Nuggets though. It’s going to be an interesting season for the Nuggets this year.

Sad News?

The Bobcats are doing better than the Lakers.

Worse opening tip off in 45 year history for the Lakers? Mark says things will get better and that when Steve Nash comes back that the Lakers will be a good team but somehow I highly doubt that. To lose against the Clippers was a low blow, especially for me since the Clippers are the #2 team for LA. Psh. Clippers suck. If Blake Griffin gets most improved player of the year…I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life. But, that’s never going to happen so I have nothing to worry about.

And here’s what I was talking about earlier with Rasheed. Glad to see him back.

Stupid NBA TV/League Pass bullshit. Just let me watch some games on my TV! I’ve had enough college football for today.

USA beats DOM & Blake Griffin out for good

Best news of the day if you ask me!

Our USA basketball team ended up blowing the Dominican Republic OUT OF THE WATER! With a 113-59 victory at the┬áThomas & Mack Center on the University of Nevada-Las Vegas campus our All Stars just gave it all they had to show that there isn’t any competitor who can stand against this awesome team!

And in case you missed the big show yesterday here’s a little highlight for you guys:

And with some good fortune, Blake Griffin is out as of yesterday due to a torn meniscus which is most definitely some good news for the USA team because we all know Blake Griffin can’t play basketball for shit. He will most likely be replaced by Anthony Davis as well as some other alternates to sit on the bench. We’ll find out for sure by next week when Blake Griffin officially withdraws himself from the competition.

This season has been nothing but injury after injury and just because it’s Olympics time doesn’t make it any different. Also out from participating in the Olympics is Dwight the big baby Howard, Chris Bosh and LaMarcus Aldridge.

But having Anthony Davis as a backup was a smart move and he will go to the next practice with the USA team so he can play the next four exhibition games before the first official Olympic game against France which is scheduled on July 29th.

Who delivered their A game last night? Kevin Durant. Made a game high 24 points in a record setting 22 minutes with 9 out of 11 shots made from the floor which includes making 5 out of 6 three pointers as well. No doubt that this young All Star will definitely be competition for the Heat once again come next NBA season.

Who else shocked and awed last night? None other than Philadelphia’s own Andre Iguodala! Made an impressive 18 points with 7 out of 9 field goals made with 4 of those being three pointers as well. To think he was almost left off the Olympics roster! But Iguodala will be key in the success of the USA Men’s basketball team, for sure. Why? Because Iguodala is great at contesting shots, stealing the ball as well as starting fast breaks. And we saw yesterday that he is also a great scorer which will be very helpful for the USA team. We need him to slow down defenses when USA players are being double teamed as well as to keep the ball from the other team. And for those of you who are still skeptical and would’ve rather had Eric Gordon or Rudy Gay be on the roster, we’ll just have to wait and see how Iguodala meshes in with the rest of the team but I have no doubt either way that America will show the world who’s boss when it comes to Men’s basketball!

Our USA Men’s Basketball team is on FIRE! BOOM SHAKA LAKA!

Let’s go USA!

Oh yeah, I got married today

I know it’s a little out of the blue but Mark and I got married today!

Nothing fancy, we just got our marriage license and then went to get a civil marriage in the afternoon. I couldn’t have been happier. Yeah it was non-traditional but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It went pretty quick and we kind of smiled/laughed our way through our “Hawaiian beach wedding” ceremony. We didn’t take it as a joke but it was just cute holding each others hands and repeating vows in front of a beach backdrop. I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 1/2 years since we’ve met too. Time goes by fast but I’m happy where I am now.

And I want to thank everyone for their warm wishes! You guys are the best! I really mean it!

And before I start talking about the NBA I have to say that my family is either super special or all in on some big joke to GET me.

First, I told my mother I got married and she said, “Congraturation”. Is my own mother making a racist joke on Asians or is she just being Asian?

And then when I told my uncle I was married he typed back, “Congradulations” to which I was just dumbfounded by. Really? ConGRADulations?

And then when I texted my aunt that we were married she texted back, “Congrets”.

WHAT IN HOLY HECK IS GOING ON WITH MY FAMILY? I bet they were all next to each other when I texted them…God, I hope that’s what happened…

Either way, I’m just happy that they’re happy for us. Yay! That’s all that really matters.

And what better news than for both of our teams acquiring better players for next seasons roster! As well as working on getting other established players as well!

When I looked up “lakers trade rumors” pictures on Google all I get are pictures of Dwight Howard in a Lakers jersey. UM, NO THANK YOU VERY MUCH. But the Lakers somehow managed to get Steve Nash (TO WHOM I AM NOT MARRIED TO THANK YOU VERY MUCH!) and the Timberwolves got Brandon Roy and I think they’re pretty close to getting Batum. Who knows Pau might be over there sometime soon as well too but like I said earlier, all these Pau Gasol trade rumors add up and I can’t be bothered to go through each and every one of them like they might ACTUALLY happen. An interesting one that’s popped up out of the ol’ rumor mill is that they might trade Pau Gasol for Andre Iguodala…that might be pretty cool. But somehow I think we’re just going to keep Pau Gasol because nothing will be worth the trade according to the head office in LA.

It is what it is.

I think Dwight Howard just wants a better team

Instead of looking to move anywhere Dwight Howard just wants certain people to come to HIS team.

Hmmm…All I’ve been seeing and hearing is

Dwight Howard wants to play with (blank).

Dwight Howard scouting out (blank).

So on and so forth. Does that mean he thinks his team can get someone without him leaving?

So who does Dwight Howard want to play with? Here’s the list:

1. Monta Ellis

The Warriors will give up Monta Ellis for DH but they won’t let him go just because DH wants to play with him. And the Warriors don’t really want anyone from the Magic.

2. Steve Nash

DH wants his team to GET ON getting Steve Nash. If they do then DH will probably resign during the summer and become a free agent in 2013 when most of the other guys he wants to play with will become free as well. The only thing is, Steve Nash isn’t going anywhere. The Suns aren’t going to let him go unless he ASKS to be traded and Nash has already made it clear that he wants to play out his career as a Sun. Nash said he would understand if the Suns would want to move him around but from what I understand there’s a mutual agreement that they’re going to hang tight with each other. I guess Steve Nash will just go his career without a ring. Oh well. No skin off my back.

3. Chris Paul

Not going to happen this season. That’s for sure. The Clippers aren’t going to let go of CP3 or Griffin as of now. Plus they’d be paying up the wazoo if they even entertained the idea of getting DH. Next.

4. Andre Iguodala

Iguodala wants DH to come to the Magic, not the other way around. He’s just got to convince him to come play for the Sixers. That seems unlikely though. Next.

5. Josh Smith

They grew up together. What can you say? How long? Since pre-school, apparently they liked the same girl. Hahaha. Same AAU team as teenagers and now battling it out on the court. Cute huh? But the Celtics have been eyeing Josh Smith HARD. Even enough to give up Kevin Garnett. Who knows if that is going to happen but that’s what it’s looking like now. If the Magic really want to keep Howard maybe they can make this happen? Would the Hawks want any of the Magic Forwards? Uh….Ryan Anderson? Hedo Turkoglu? I don’t know if the Hawks would consider that though…

6. Deron Williams

The Nets are trying to trade Brook Lopez for DH so Williams will sign with them again but like all these trades, they are all so lopsided. What is Orlando going to do with JUST Brook Lopez. It seems like you’d need both of them to play. Like the whole Amare+Nash combo. Man, that was great. Those poor guys are just not the same now…nor will they ever be again! Oh Well…

And then there’s the rumor that both Williams and DH might be on the Mavs next season but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves JUST yet.

But in reality are the Magic going to get a fair trade if Howard decides to leave? Probably not. No team or player wants to leave their team without getting another star to replace them. That’s just how it is. And I don’t know how much teams are willing to give up for JUST DH.

And Williams and DH would be paid a LOT less if they were to both go to the Mavs as free agents this summer. Like I said yesterday it’s either the game or the money. If you’re in a place where you get both, you’re one lucky son of a gun. I’ll give you that much.

7. Anthony Morrow

Either the Magic are being VERY secretive about their offers to other teams or they’re stupid and haven’t made any. If DH wants new team players, you get him new team players or he’s going to be gone like Nelson’s dad in search of a pack of cigarettes.

Do you know who IS interested in Morrow? The Timberwolves. But the Nets said they’re not going to move him. The Loserwolves do need a better 3 point shooter but I guess they’re going to have to look elsewhere, just like the Magic. NEXT.

8. Stephen Jackson

In a perfect world Jackson would be playing for…no it’s not the Magic but the Nets. He wants to team up with Williams and Howard to win a championship title! Too bad neither the Nets nor the Magic want him. He’d be making $10 mil next year and that is NOT something they are in search of. Both Williams and Howard would love to play with Jackson but even though they say “Yes, Yes!” their teams say “No, No!”.

Who in the world could the Magic get to make DH happy?

I have no clue.
