What’s better than getting NBA stuff in the mail?

Absolutely nothing.

I got a shirt for both Mark and I and I absolutely love them both!

Please ignore the stupid face.

For Mark I got the classic, “He’s on fire BOOM SHAKA LAKA” shirt.

And for me I got the Miami Heat NBA Champions 8 bit Tshirt! I don’t care if it doesn’t actually look like them. I love it anyways!

I’m sorry about the lack of blog posts. I’ve been working 6 days straight and I have another 2 to go before I get a day off so it’s been a little stressful.

But I am excited for tonight! It’s the finale of both The Bachelorette and Food Network Star! We all know Jef and Justin are going to win. Am I the only one who thinks they look very similar? Justin just has a bigger hair poof than Jef. Either way the endings for both shows won’t be all that surprising.

Will write more soon! God, why is it so hot in Hawaii?!

New Additions to the Heat

The first addition to the Miami Heat this off season is none other than Ray Allen which both me and Lebron are happy about. Sucks that the Celtics didn’t trade them during the regular season so they could get something in return but that’s how it happens sometimes, you know?

One thing I do know is that Miami made a great move acquiring Allen. Not only is he one of the best 3 point shooters of his time, if not THE best of ALL time, his overall 92% accuracy from the free throw line is nothing to laugh at. Sure he’s getting old and has some injuries slowing him down but who doesn’t nowadays? It’d be nice for both Ray Allen and the Heat to go at it for another Championship ring come next season. The Heat will REALLY be a team to be reckoned with.

And besides, Ray Allen shouldn’t want to stay on a team where he’s being replaced by the 21 year old Bradley who has been starting when Ray Allen has been unable to. Of course it is unlikely that the Heat will use Allen as a starter but by having a greater opportunity at actually playing and having the ball, which Rondo and Allen have gotten into tiffs about, it will give Allen more room to play out his days instead of just being on the sidelines.

People have different views on the positives and negatives of Ray Allen leaving the Heat but what is done is done and we’ll just have to wait till next season to see if it was the right move to make for both the Heat AND for Boston.

Which brings us to our next addition, veteran forward Rashard Lewis. Having been Ray Allen’s teammate for 5 years in Seattle, these two are JUST what the Heat needed to amp up their already All-Star team consisting of Lebron, Wade and Bosh. These two will not only add more shooting options for the Heat team but bring a new defensive aspect to their game as well.

Yes he’s played his second worst career year last year due to injuries but I have high hopes that he will bring his A game this coming season on the Heat.

Can’t wait to see these two in action!

WITNESS MVP! MIAMI HEAT NBA CHAMPIONS!

It took 9 years but now I can proudly say that Lebron James has that long desired NBA Championship Ring!

It’s all about hard work and working as a team! Sure some pros won Championship Rings their first go around but it took others 7+ seasons to finally get a ring and of course there will always be those amazing players who go their whole career without a ring.

IN YOUR FACE DWIGHT HOWARD!

Lebron James x 1

Dwyane Wade x 2

Chris Bosh x 1

Like a boss! Winning all 3 games at home AND winning a game on the road takes some true dedication and this team has got it!

With 6 players in double digits this was truly the way to win one at home! Final scores:

Lebron James 26 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, 1 steal and 2 block shots!

Chris Bosh 24 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 block shots.

Mike Miller 23 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal.

Dwyane Wade 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 block shots.

Shane Battier 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.

Mario Chalmers 10 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.

A stellar job by the 2012 Miami Heat Team!

Man of the Hour: Mike Miller

I’m sorry I haven’t posted lately guys. I got another job and I’ve been in charge of operations so it’s been busy but guess what?

I’m fighting through this migraine so I can cheer for the Miami Heat!

And guess who came back with full force today? Mike Miller, that’s who!

For those of you who aren’t watching must be wondering why I’m talking about Mike Miller out of all people. Want to know why?

Because this dude has made 4 out of 4, 3 pointers and it’s only the first half! Next to Lebrons 13 points, he is the second leading scorer in the first half!

No clips on youtube yet but you know they’re coming!

Let’s go Heat! Chalmers needs to stop with the turnovers, he’s getting a little heavy handed there.

And after such an impressive Game 4, Russel Westbrook who had made 43 points is now only 2 out of 9. The Heat need to be and stay aggressive to win this! Don’t give them the opportunity to cut the lead short.

And last but not least, NAIL THOSE FREE THROWS! This is KEY to winning this last game against the Thunder.

I laugh at all the top sports critics who said that the Thunder had this series in 6-7 games.

To Abbott, Arnovitz, Barry, Bowen, Broussard, Ford, Legler, Mason, Stein, Wilbon, Windhurst and Young, the “EXPERTS” at ESPN, all I have to say is HAH! HOW DARE YOU DOUBT THE AMAZING TALENTS OF LEBRON JAMES AND HIS PIMP ASS CREW!

We got this!

*UPDATE*

Mike Cif makes a great point! Mike Miller is playing through many injuries, most of which appear to be chronic. But as we see time and time again injuries are nothing these players can’t handle!

Lebron comes back with a 3 in Game 4 while limping to the line.

Chris Bosh came back with 3 points up the wazoo when he finally came back!

Wade is suffering from back pain from the bump into Ibaka but no matter.

These pros are champions, whether they have their rings yet or not.

But here are those clips I promised you of Miller!

Bosh’s pump fake!

Not to mention this amazing alley oop from Chalmers to Wade!

*UPDATE #2*

MAKE THAT 5 FOR 5 FOR MIKE MILLER!!!!!!

*UPDATE #3*

Heat for the WIN! Boom Shaka Laka!

Today’s game was AMAZING!

I was only able to catch the 2nd half since HD ABC wouldn’t play at the TV at work which kinda majorly sucked. But it happens that way sometimes. These jerks who ordered food came to watch the game so I was kind of happy that it wasn’t playing on the TV. Karma’s a bitch.

But my biggest thought for today is WHAT IS GOING ON WITH WADE TONIGHT? 5 Turnovers is NOT OKAY. Stop being pressured into a turnover, why didn’t anyone have his back? So many needless bad passes and hesitations by Wade. We need to work on that yeah?

And for Chris Bosh, it’s just like Mark said, you’re a big man so finish the game! A foul doesn’t mean you can just throw up the ball all willy nilly! Take it to the hoop! But amazing job on those block shots! You’re a beast!

And Lebron needs to take those shots when he’s open. You don’t need to be constantly passing the ball to another player. YOU are the key player of this team. Yes team work is important but when you are wide open, take the shot. It wouldn’t hurt to take an open 3 or to go closer for an easy shot. I’m really proud you made all your free throws in Game 2 and missed only 2 today! Such a big improvement from previous games.

And you need to spread out from each other to break up the Thunder defense! When you guys are too close to each other it allows people like Westbrook and Fisher to guard more than one player at a time which is a big NO NO.

Who else was surprised by KD’s 5 personal fouls today? I sure was. For a second I thought he might actually foul out of a game. He should’ve or should I say, almost, fouled out Game 2. He’s been cutting it close. And for those of you who missed it, (like I did because I was at a farewell dinner), here it is:

Whether you think it was a blocking or a charging foul, it is what it is and it’s already over and done with.

What’s really surprising is how consistent the Heat have become with free throws while the Thunder, who are the #1 free throw scoring team during the regular season, is suffering so much from missed free throws which end up becoming missed opportunities.

And I’ll post some highlights from tonight’s game as well.

Udonis Haslem DENYING Derek Fisher’s attempt at the rim!

Dunk by Wade assist by Chalmers!

Heat up 2-1! BRING IT ON THUNDER! If the Heat could somehow magically win all 3 at home this series would be set!

Miami at OKC – Game 2 BRING IT ON!

Miami has brought their defensive game to Game 2 but what they’ll need to figure out is how to screen Perkins from getting rebounds and second shot opportunities. Perkins is just a bigger man than Battier and the guy who trades with him. But Wade has shown his true potential early on and combined with Lebron and Bosh a win won’t be an issue as long as they keep playing strong.

Despite not having any blocks in Game 1, Serge Ibaka is stepping to the plate once again to assert his dominance on the court. The Block Masters Wade and Ibaka are going to have to battle it out on the court today. Ibaka has already blocked Wade’s shot in the first few minutes so it’ll be an interesting game to watch.

Oh and did you see Chalmers pass the ball back to Lebron? Good Chalmers…

And we’ll see today if Lebron has been working on his free throw shooting off the court.

Miami up 16-2

Stop being such a bitch Chalmers

Workout Guide for the Heat before the Finals

-Lebron needs to work on his free throws.
He’s missed WAY too many for comfort.

-Mario Chalmers needs to learn to pass to other (more talented) players.

-He (Chalmers) also needs to not shoot (like ever).

Did you hear Jeff when he said that Mario Chalmers gets eyes rolled at him more than anyone else. Hahaha.

Whatever Dude. Hahaha.

Were you watching when Lebon just looks at Chalmers and goes, “PASS TO ME!!!!!”

Watch this!

Wade and Lebron just OWN that court!

Bosh has been making a hell of a comeback! Two 3 pointers! AW YEAH! Make that Three 3 pointers!
