Why Peyton Manning should get MVP of the year

Indianapolis Colts Release Peyton Manning - News Conference

Peyton Manning has had a more than a stellar year with the Denver Broncos and I believe he should get MVP for the year. (Sorry Adrian Peterson and Tom Brady).

Not only has he had a record breaking season as a new Denver Bronco but it is just amazing how he has been able to come back after 4 neck surgeries which no one thought he would fully recover from. Peyton has given the Broncos hope for another NFL Championship. Just like we got John Elway from the Colts, hopefully Peyton too will be one holiday miracle in the making! He has turned this franchise around!

Giving the Broncos 9 straight wins in a row making it a total of 11 wins to 3 losses is an amazing record for the previously struggling Denver Broncos. People were anxious to see what was going to happen at the beginning of the season but it is no surprise that Peyton Manning has more than delivered his side of the deal. With 4016 yards he is well on his way to posting his third-highest passer rating for his career. Not to mention that some of his other stats are very close to being the best of his NFL career. And considering that it usually takes players time to adjust to new teams it is just amazing how fast Peyton has come to embrace the Broncos as HIS team. His signature act of directing plays to teammates can still be seen on the field and is a key part of what makes Peyton such a great leader as well as a team player.

Tom Brady’s stats may be better in more areas than Peyton Manning but even ESPN gives Peyton a higher QBR than Brady. And I guess it’s a different game when someone like Brady is consistently active in the NFL and is compared to Manning who was out an entire season. And it really comes down to what people look at when deciding who the MVP should be. But I agree that Peyton will get the sentimental vote from the people since he has such an amazing story behind him and his recovery and resurgence in the NFL has really been something quite unique.

What do you guys think?

Finals are over AND I AM BACK! I SWEAR IT!

What better way to start a blog entry than with some more NBA commercials?!

It’s so hard to choose JUST one though. They’ve all been so hilarious lately!

But I guess since I am a Lakers Fan by birth here is a commercial with Dwight Howard as THE GHOST HUNTER!

I swear I wouldn’t hate him so much if he STOPPED MISSING SO MANY GODDAMN FREE THROWS!

I’ll have to post about that Brooklyn Nets game I went to on another post…

And if you liked that commercial, there’s one with Ricky Rubio as a backyard wrestler…it’s pretty priceless.

It’s weird though because I’ve been more on a football kick lately so I’m just waiting for the Broncos vs Ravens game on Sunday!

I am stoked! I know it’s going to be a good game.

Dude, what would the Broncos DO without Peyton Manning??

Overall the Broncos have more total yards per game, passing yards per game, points per game, third-down conversions and possession times. The only thing the Ravens have got on us are Rushing Yards per game but hopefully that won’t be an issue come Sunday. I know that a lot of crazy stuff can happen in football, especially with the Texans taking such a severe beating on Monday from the Patriots, but I still believe in Peyton Manning!

It’s finally paying off to be a Broncos fan! I knew I would see them be glorious again!

And I’ve been writing a lot more original stuff in school so hopefully I can continue that and go somewhere with it.

Boy have I missed you guys!

I’ve finally set up my computer (and my apartment)!

Excuse all the boxes. I actually took this picture earlier this week so it doesn’t look like that right now. I’ll take another picture once I dismantle all of the boxes and throw them away. I’m about 80% done but it’s hard for me to carry the huge boxes downstairs so I’m taking my time. It’ll all get done though. I finished most of the other cleaning so we should be good.

We went to go look for a dinette set yesterday but the one we wanted is currently “in transit” so the lady said it would be a couple more weeks…I guess we’ll see. We’re having our open house tomorrow so we really wanted something in the house by either today or tomorrow but I guess that’s seeming a little improbable at the current moment. Oh well. It is what it is.

So yeah, I finally set up my computer so I can write real posts. I’m still not used to writing long posts on a laptop so I’m glad to be back on my computer. I forgot how good it feels to just sit in front of the computer and just write. It’s amazing! And I’ve missed all you guys too! I’ve mostly been cleaning and going to work and watching playoff games. But I’ll talk about that later.

I just have to say, I love our TV though. Not only do we get sports in HD but also the Food network and all my games look so amazing! Muhahaha. It’s bad because I don’t think I do anything else…hahaha. It’s so pretty…I don’t want to be away from it! I mean I spent the whole morning today watching “Food Network Star” which I am now officially hooked on after 2 episodes. DAMN YOU CABLE TV! Just SUCK the life right out of me why don’t you?!

Oh and the other day I was feeling a little down so I went on a little shopping spree and splurged on myself. Want to see what I got?

The girl at Gamestop convinced me to buy Killzone 3 and I actually like it a lot. Again, if I could pull myself away from Chopped or Storage Wars I would be playing more often…but it’s SO HARD! AH! For those of you who don’t know, I’ve never had cable my whole life except for those brief periods while staying at a hotel so this is something new for me and I just can’t get enough of it! I mean, I didn’t even watch TV these past 2 years. My TV was only on when I wanted to play video games and that was about it.

Oh and I also pre-ordered Black Ops II so they gave me a free poster and I get some cool perks for preordering early! Yay! This actually made my day because I left all my other COD posters back home in LA. (God I hope my mother doesn’t rip/throw them away…) I wonder where I should put this one…

I actually went to Home Depot before work yesterday and I got some stuff to hang up the art that I brought with me so I’ll get started on that today when Mark gets home. I can’t wait to give our apartment a little flare. Our place is so modern though it’s pretty cool.

I bought one other thing for myself because I just couldn’t resist.

Hmmm…what could it be?

No, it’s not shorts…or lingerie…or anything cute.

It’s…A PEYTON MANNING BRONCOS SHIRT!

YEAH BUDDY!

Come football season I’m going to wear it EVERYWHERE!

YUUUUUUUUUUP!

NBA playoffs post coming up~

We all knew this post was coming…

Welcome to the family Peyton!

GOODBYE TEBOW, HELLO MAWINNING!

You can go Tebow it up with the Jets. So long and farewell!

Bred to play Football from before birth the Broncos are psyched to welcome Peyton Manning to the family! I’ve been getting a lot of BS because he’s getting “old” but do you know what? The oldest quarterback to win a Superbowl was 38 so TAKE THAT. And do you know who it was?

JOHN ELWAY OF THE FUCKIN DENVER BRONCOS!

That’s right!

Who gave me shit that the mascot of my team is a horse? I’m sorry…how many Super Bowls have the Vikings won? I can’t remember…

OH YEAH…BECAUSE THEY HAVEN’T WON ANY!

What a great early birthday present for Peyton! FUCK YEAH!

He’s played 14 seasons for the Colts after being the Round 1, Number 1 pick of 1998.

The Trip was nice enough to let manning wear his retired number while he plays on the Broncos. Aww so sweet.

We got John Elway from the Colts just like we did Manning and it’s just going to be uphill from here on out! Best trades we’ve ever made! That’s for sure.

After being a Broncos fan for so long…I’m happy to see it at where it is today.

You know we’re all just joshin you Lebron

Trust me, we know that your situation is not the same as Dwight Howard’s, Carmelo Antony’s, Chris Paul’s or Peyton Manning’s. You’ve just become a cultural icon and people link leaving a team to you although what these players are doing is not directly related or similar to what you had to do when you decided to leave Cleveland. It’s become the new cultural euphemism that people link with sports and the movement of players. For people who seriously think that all of these scenarios are EXACTLY the same, they are very misinformed and oblivious to what is ACTUALLY happening in the sports world.

We know that you neither forced a trade while you were under your contract like Antony or Paul and that you also did not threaten to leave your team during the active season like Howard has done.

People become blind to the true meanings behind actions and instead stereotype seemingly similar actions in order to have a chance at relating to other people and the ideas that they are discussing. It has nothing to do with you as a player or as an individual. Haters are always going to hate. And for those of you who read my blog know that I made that “To pull a Lebron” definition up just to have fun. I mean he’s my #1 favorite player in the NBA. Haha.

He gave Cleveland 7 years of his NBA life and career. It is not his fault that the team did not build a team around him for that long. He carried the whole team to the finals. When I talk to Lebron haters they say that he gave up during the finals but how could you say that about someone? Giving up AT the NBA FINALS? After they’ve worked years to get there? That’s a bunch of bullshit.

He was an unrestricted free agent. He had no obligation to fulfill to the Cavaliers. We can’t all be like Steve Nash and stay with the same team for life.

It’s just like what Dwyane Wade said, “Think what you want to think, Loyalty means damned if you do, damned if you don’t — new definition of loyalty in the world. There’s going to be good things said about you, there’s going to be bad things said about you, no matter what you do.”

Lebron commented on the situation by saying, “”I understand that every time someone has an opportunity to leave or go, my name will come up. It’s been guys that have stayed and guys that have left before me, and there will be guys that stay with their team and leave their team after me”.

And that’s so true. Aw. Everyone just secretly likes Lebron, that’s why we just have to keep talking about him. Who could hate this?

(Photo taken from another blog I was reading).

Lebron, Wade, Bosh. They all still look the same!

WE LOVE YOU LEBRON!
