NBA Commercial of the Day

Don’t make me trade you to Kris Humphries’ entourage…

Hahahaha.

Ah~

Sorry about the Chinese subtitles.

This commercial takes me back to my high school days. I don’t really care about shoes so whenever I had a new pair on, which would be once a year or so, EVERYONE would notice. WHY DO YOU KNOW I HAVE NEW SHOES?!?!

Weirdos.

Is this what children today are interested in? New shoes EVERYDAY?

When did Steve Novak make a deal with the devil?

Because MAN he was on fire tonight! He must have traded his soul because those 3 pointers just kept on comin! 5 out of 8 three pointers and the game ain’t over yet! And Carmelo is racking up the points today too! 30 points (as of right now).

I am so disappointed in the Heat today…It was such a messy game. Haslem, dude you were all over the place. Sloppy passes, too many turnovers and that goes for everyone. You too Lebron…5 turnovers = unacceptable! Our defense was horrible, I don’t know what it was today. We didn’t even have the opportunity to take many shots… Our shooting percentage was only at 35% compared to the Knicks’ almost 53% shooting.

It’s okay, the Heat will get their shit together! We’ll be ready!

And I’m glad Rasheed Wallace got to play a little today. Did you all hear coach say, “Wallace, want to play son?” And all the fans were cheering which was pretty cute. Hey, I wanted Wallace for the Lakers but turns out he started those rumors on his own. Oh well. Glad to see him back.

And it is official, the Thunder royally F***** up trading James Harden. He scored 45 points today! (I still don’t like the guy, but I’m just saying).

And before I go, there’s another hilarious Blake Griffin Kia Optima commercial.

He goes back to when he was a kid…just watch it. It’s so fuckin funny. Ahh… I still hate you Blake Griffin. The other one where he goes back in time isn’t as funny, so just watch this one.

I hope the Lakers beat the Clippers…it’s too late for me to watch it here. Ugh. I need to go to sleep.

BOOO BLAKE GRIFFIN! That should have him airballing free throws for now. Night.

6th ring before Kobe?

Possibly.

I’m glad Fisher will be with the Thunder and not the Rockets. I can keep an eye on him while I make sure Durant and Westbrook are doing well. Mark said I sound like a mom…I guess I do sometimes huh?

Wouldn’t it be a trip if Fisher got his next ring before Kobe did? Hahaha. I’d LOVE to see that. Yes I love the Lakers but Fisher was my favorite player so I’ll support him wherever he goes. I can wear my OKC Fisher jersey over my Lakers one. Hahaha.

The new number he picked is his age…37. How cute. Awww! My children are all grown up now!

Maybe I SHOULD go to that Lakers vs Thunders game coming up…hmmmm

Let’s see what my paycheck says. Well. I guess I could since I finished school and what not but I always feel awkward going to games where I like both teams. I can’t be myself. I rather stick to a Clippers vs Thunder game. UGH I WENT TO ONE EARLIER THIS SEASON AND THE THUNDER LOST! No one talked shit to me that time though.

Overall…(most times) Clippers fans are nicer than Lakers fans. Except for that one time last week when I went to go see Josh Smith and TMac play. How could you hit on me after you talk smack to me all game long? Forget you. Hahaha.

Yay Fisher! I am so happy for you!

Well the Thunder BETTER beat the Clippers tonight!

What? Foye’s dropping points? Man…that’s whack.

We all knew this post was coming…

Welcome to the family Peyton!

GOODBYE TEBOW, HELLO MAWINNING!

You can go Tebow it up with the Jets. So long and farewell!

Bred to play Football from before birth the Broncos are psyched to welcome Peyton Manning to the family! I’ve been getting a lot of BS because he’s getting “old” but do you know what? The oldest quarterback to win a Superbowl was 38 so TAKE THAT. And do you know who it was?

JOHN ELWAY OF THE FUCKIN DENVER BRONCOS!

That’s right!

Who gave me shit that the mascot of my team is a horse? I’m sorry…how many Super Bowls have the Vikings won? I can’t remember…

OH YEAH…BECAUSE THEY HAVEN’T WON ANY!

What a great early birthday present for Peyton! FUCK YEAH!

He’s played 14 seasons for the Colts after being the Round 1, Number 1 pick of 1998.

The Trip was nice enough to let manning wear his retired number while he plays on the Broncos. Aww so sweet.

We got John Elway from the Colts just like we did Manning and it’s just going to be uphill from here on out! Best trades we’ve ever made! That’s for sure.

After being a Broncos fan for so long…I’m happy to see it at where it is today.

You know we’re all just joshin you Lebron

Trust me, we know that your situation is not the same as Dwight Howard’s, Carmelo Antony’s, Chris Paul’s or Peyton Manning’s. You’ve just become a cultural icon and people link leaving a team to you although what these players are doing is not directly related or similar to what you had to do when you decided to leave Cleveland. It’s become the new cultural euphemism that people link with sports and the movement of players. For people who seriously think that all of these scenarios are EXACTLY the same, they are very misinformed and oblivious to what is ACTUALLY happening in the sports world.

We know that you neither forced a trade while you were under your contract like Antony or Paul and that you also did not threaten to leave your team during the active season like Howard has done.

People become blind to the true meanings behind actions and instead stereotype seemingly similar actions in order to have a chance at relating to other people and the ideas that they are discussing. It has nothing to do with you as a player or as an individual. Haters are always going to hate. And for those of you who read my blog know that I made that “To pull a Lebron” definition up just to have fun. I mean he’s my #1 favorite player in the NBA. Haha.

He gave Cleveland 7 years of his NBA life and career. It is not his fault that the team did not build a team around him for that long. He carried the whole team to the finals. When I talk to Lebron haters they say that he gave up during the finals but how could you say that about someone? Giving up AT the NBA FINALS? After they’ve worked years to get there? That’s a bunch of bullshit.

He was an unrestricted free agent. He had no obligation to fulfill to the Cavaliers. We can’t all be like Steve Nash and stay with the same team for life.

It’s just like what Dwyane Wade said, “Think what you want to think, Loyalty means damned if you do, damned if you don’t — new definition of loyalty in the world. There’s going to be good things said about you, there’s going to be bad things said about you, no matter what you do.”

Lebron commented on the situation by saying, “”I understand that every time someone has an opportunity to leave or go, my name will come up. It’s been guys that have stayed and guys that have left before me, and there will be guys that stay with their team and leave their team after me”.

And that’s so true. Aw. Everyone just secretly likes Lebron, that’s why we just have to keep talking about him. Who could hate this?

(Photo taken from another blog I was reading).

Lebron, Wade, Bosh. They all still look the same!

WE LOVE YOU LEBRON!

Who to believe?

So in my last post I blamed the Portland Trail Blazers for cock blocking the Beasley Laker trade but new reports are coming out where the Timberwolves might be to blame.

Unnamed sources say that 7 minutes before the trade deadline that the Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor canceled the deal.

That Fisher Rockets trade wasn’t how it was supposed to go down.

Let’s try to work this out:

Lakers

Derek Fisher to Minnesota
Cash Money to Minnesota
1st round draft pick that was acquired from the Mavs to the Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers

 Jamal Crawford to Minnesota
Even more cash money to Minnesota

Timberwolves

Michael Beasley to the Lakers
Anthony Tolliver to the Trail Blazers

Beasley’s not even playing today. Meh.

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn Trail blazers!

I was SO excited to get Michael Beasley on the Lakers but the Portland Trail blazers decided to trade with the Nets instead of the Timberwolves so the Lakers are out of a deal.

They could’ve still sent Jamal Crawford AND Marcus Camby AND Gerald Wallace!…it didn’t have to be one or the other!

I don’t want Steve Blake!

They ended up trading Marcus Camby in a 3 way trade to the Rockets.

Lakers: Derek Fisher & 1st-round pick from the Mavericks to the Rockets
Rockets: Jordan Hill to the Lakers
Trail blazers: Johnny Flynn & Hasheem Thabeet & 2nd-round pick to the Rockets
Rockets: Marcus Camby to the Trail blazers

Rockets: Gerald Wallace to the Nets
Trail blazers:Mehmet Okur & Shawne Williams & a protected 2012 1st-round draft pick to the Trail blazers

Sadness. BUT I’m still happy about the Lakers scenario as of now!

FUCK YEAH! LAKERS ARE GOING TO BE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDERS BITCHES!

That’s right.

We got rid of Luke Walton AND Jason Kapono to get Ramon Sessions!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Christian Eyenga.

But we had to give away some of our first round picks…BOO!

BUT YAY RAMON SESSIONS! No one knows how much I love the Cavs!

And we traded Fisher to the Rockets. I love Fisher but it was time for a change.

But we got Jordan Hill from the Rockets which isn’t too bad.

WELCOME TO THE LAKERS!

Still unclear about Pau and Skittles but YAY!

LUKE WALTON AND JASON KAPONO ARE GONE!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobcats reign victorious. Los Bulls host Nueva York. Injured wolves battle Suns.

Bobcats

I feel like I need to write a blog every time the Charlotte Bobcats win.

Dear lord, I don’t even know how they did it today!

Granted it was against the Hornets who are 10-32 but that’s still quite a feat considering Maggette only made 2 points and played for less than 10 minutes. And the highest scoring player was Henderson with 15 points… But you know what they had going for them? Team work. Something some other teams can learn a lesson from. If you look at the stats the rebounds, assists and steals are pretty evenly spread throughout the team. There may not be a star player but by distributing the work I think they got a good thing going today. A little disappointed by the 5 turnovers by Augustin but that can be forgiven. And do you know what else is crazy? They made 0 out of 12 3pointers that they attempted. So their stat for 3PM-A is literally 0.0% and they still beat the Hornets…good for them. A lot of people are out today on the Hornets but I’m still proud of the Bobcats none the less.

Biyombo killed it today. Not only did he make an awesome dunk but also a game saving block. It’s because of days like this you’re happy you’re a fan of the NBA.

I just wish Michael Jordan would dish out a little for his NBA team, you know? Does he just have blinders on? Wants to give the underdogs a chance?

But it’s been like this since MJ’s been playing in the league. Encouraging the draft picks of some less than great players. Come on, how could you get rid of Raymond Felton & Tyson Chandler?!

AND taking a stand AGAINST players during the lockout when YOU WERE A GOD DAMN PLAYER TOO? Come on now…

It’s like owning your own business, just because you’re good at your specific skill it DOES NOT MEAN that you have the capabilities of running an independent business by yourself. And I feel MJ is one of those people, sad because he’s one of the best players of all time.

Maybe I’ll just watch Space Jam and that will make everything better.

Anyways, here’s Biyombo on fire!

Knicks @ Bulls

The Header for this picture literally reads:

Rose leads Los Bulls past Nueva York

Really? Does the NBA really need to make Spanish jerseys? I got it when it came time to fight the attack on immigration but this might be going a little far. Don’t ya think? I find it’s just another marketing ploy, but what do I know right? Dear lord what will future generations think when they see this? I don’t even know.

And a lot of people thought the Knicks might have a chance today against the Bulls but the Knicks haven’t won a single game this month and they’ve been 2-7 since Carmelo came back. Let’s all face it, I was right, Carmelo doesn’t really play well with others. What? It’s true. The only real question is…what do the Knicks do about their team now? They can’t trade Lin because they’d get backlash about that and they can’t trade Carmelo because they gave up everything to get him last year, JR Smith fluctuates on his performance. It’s not so much that they need better players, they just need to find a way to manage the players that they already have. They could be such an All Star team if only they could figure out the right game plan to match everyone’s needs.

I mean…it’s been a close game today. Besides 3 pointers the Knicks have better shooting statistics today but the Bulls have better teamwork. No duh.

They’re averaging better rebounds, assists, steals, blocks…less personal fouls as well as turnovers. And of course Derrick Rose kills it with 32 points.

Did I tell you guys about his $250 million contract with Adidas over the next…how many years was it? 10 years. Well he has the possibility to make that much money with all the advertising and what not. Geez louise! Imagine how many Rolls Royce’s I could buy with that kind of money!

Several.

Hahahahaha.

Despite Jeremy Lin now being overrated you have to watch this insane block he did against DRose!

Timberwolves

Not all hope is lost! The Timberwolves are still doing pretty well despite the loss of their young rookie athlete!

Pekovic and Beasley are bringing their A game tonight against the Suns! But like I keep saying. They need to work on their free throws. They used to be the champs at free throws but as of late they’ve been way below par. Sad but it’s the truth and don’t you dare deny it! Otherwise all their shooting percentages are above 50% as of the 2nd quarter. They’ve also made 5 out of 8, 3 point attempts so that’s a good start too. You never know, one of Mike Beasley’s 3 pointers might end up winning the game!

Should the Twolves really trade Beasley at this point? Just saying.

Wolves (or should I say Los Lobos) are leading the Los Suns 63-56 at halftime.

Now to watch the Celtics play the 2nd best team in LA…

Trade Deadlines

Because Mark and I started talking about possible trades and what the Lakers were going to do if anything so I thought it would be a good opportunity to see what other people think is going to happen.

So the Lakers either need a Point Guard or a Small Forward. (More a Point Guard, but yeah).

The Lakers need to make this happen! We still have our $9 million trade exception we got from trading Lamar Odom. So we scared off DH (Center), we REALLY don’t want Steve Nash. Best possible option? That’s right!

Trading with the Celtics

Scary to think of but it’d be perfect. Who’s our top choice? Rajon Rondo.

The Lakers are also considering Johnny Flynn and Ramon Sessions.

Other options are getting Allen Iverson back into the NBA (he has been aching for some cash and I’d LOVE to see him on the Lakers, for my own personal reasons) and Gilbert Arenas (meh).

I love you Derek Fisher but the Lakers need to get rid of you AND Ron Artest. Sad but true. The Lakers might end up trading Pau Gasol as well.

What might go down:

Lakers trading Pau Gasol & Darius Morris & Mavericks #1 pick FOR Celtics Rajon Rondo and Jermaine O’ Neal

Lakers trading Pau Gasol & Matt Barnes & Darius Morris & Lakers #1 pick & Mavericks #1 pick FOR Celtics Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce
Along with trading the Lakers TPE for Jermaine O’ Neal

Lakers trading Pau Gasol FOR Timberwolves Derrick Williams & Future Draft Picks

Lakers giving up cash & future draft picks FOR Timberwolves Michael Beasley

Lakers giving up either Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum FOR Nets Deron Williams

Let’s just make something awesome happen! Come on Lakers!
